Runescape Flipping Spreadsheet

Since the beginning of the year, I've enjoyed using a spreadsheet to keep track of my money and watch my profit grow. If you like to look at numbers too, then maybe you'll enjoy this spreadsheet I've made. Currently there are two versions of the spreadsheet - a full version and a lite version. The only difference between the two is the lite version comes with less cells to log your items (for victims of lag like myself).

FEATURES
-Automatic calculations to determine the profit and percent profit made per flip.
-A test section to determine if an item worth flipping.
-A daily profit worksheet
-A worksheet to list your favorite items so you don't forget them.
-A statistics page of your flips (total profit, number of flips, best flip, etc)

The Difference between Lite and Regular
To reduce lag, many cells are removed in the lite version. If you run out of room, you can either manually create more room or you can start a new spreadsheet. Below is a comparison between the two versions.

Regular Lite
Space for items 500 150
Space for days 366 150
Space for favorites 50 20

HOW TO GET STARTED
Before you begin, determine which spreadsheet you want and if you'll be using it in Excel or in Google Docs (Using it in Google Docs requires a Google account). Open the version you want in a new tab.

Regular
Regular (Excel)
Lite
Lite (Excel)

If you are going to use the spreadsheet in Google Docs, click "File" at the top left of the spreadsheet and then click "Make a Copy". Then name it whatever you want.

If you are going to use Excel, click "File" at the top left of the spreadsheet and then click "Download as" and choose "Excel".

HOW TO USE THE SPREADSHEET
1. Go to the Daily Profit sheet and type in the date in the first available cell. This only has to be done once per day.
2. Like any flip, select the item you plan on doing. If you want to calculate the profit margins, plug them into the cells in the Item Test Profit Check Calculator.
3. Type the day's date into the first column of the Item Log sheet.
4. Type the name of the item you are going to flip in the second column.
5. Type the price you will be buying the items at in the third column.
6. Type the price you will be selling the items at in the fourth column.
7. Type the amount of items you will be flipping in the fifth column.

Once you've done this for your item, you can repeat steps 2-7 for the next item you decide to do. Just make sure to add a new date for each day.

If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. This is simply a tool that I use for merchanting and is nothing professional, so there is always room for changes.

  1. To make it faster using Excel use:
'CTRL + ;' for TODAYS DATE
    'CTRL + SHIFT + ;' for TIME

    Thanx for spreadsheet

  2. Your spreadsheet lacks of basic functions as:
    - what If I buy today and sell tomorrow? Profit will be included for today, not tummorow :(
    - what about timestamps of buying start and finish time? Selling start and finish? Time of whole flip? Averge time to buy/sell?
    - Graphs for graphical price rise and drops monitoring
    - lacks market, max and min prices records for item
    - some cells like background or todays date should be locked

Can you do it to contain those funcions?
